ADMISSIONS

It is the policy of Wayne County Nursing Home to admit and treat all residents without regard to race, creed, age, color, national origin, sex, disability, marital status or source of payment in compliance with all applicable NYS and federal housing, human rights and civil laws.

The facility accepts and retains only those residents for whom it can provide adequate care and needed services. If the needs of a resident exceed our level of care, WCNH participates in transfer arrangements with other healthcare facilities throughout Wayne and Monroe Counties.

Residents are admitted upon completion of an admission application and only after the completion of a pre-admission screening assessment to confirm our ability to meet the resident's needs. Requirements for admission include:

· Need for care or rehabilitation
· PRI - Patient Review Instrument
· Medical Information
· Application for Admission
· Assessment for payment source.

Note: Wayne County residency is not a requirement.

Rates
As of January 2007 our rates are $265.00 for a semi-private room and $275.00 for a private room. Medicare and private health insurance may cover expenses following a qualifying hospital stay. We also accept long-term care insurance; self-paying applicants and Medicaid pay stays.
