The residents at the Wayne County Nursing Home
are a part of our larger community - Wayne County. We are always looking for volunteers of all ages We welcome youth groups, scouting groups, community organizations and individuals. Orientation and basic instruction is given to all volunteers who join our team.

The length of time that you wish to volunteer would be entirely up to you. We have many opportunities, however, for people to donate their time and talents to help our residents. Volunteers also provide musical talent for entertainment, help with special parties, holidays and events, crafts and decorations. At times we may also need volunteers who can work from home making phone calls and doing clerical work.

Candidates must have been legal residents of Wayne County for at least ONE month immediately preceding the date of the written test, unless otherwise noted on the examination announcements.
