Veterans Celebrate Veterans Day

Thursday November 10, 2011 The Wolcott American Legion brought flags and money gifts to the veterans. There was a program to thank the veterans for all their service, Uncle Sam was on hand to greet and thank everyone also.

Friday 11/11/11 Tim Horton's of Newark donated donuts for the veterans who live at the Wayne County Nursing Home & rehab center.

Some of the vets sat around and had coffee and enjoying the delicious donuts. They share stories of their service time. Each told of their branch of service.

We had one lady veteran who talked about her time she served as an World War II Army nurse.

Friday evening a couple of the veterans are going out as guest of Jerry Deary Who owns Cj- Mack transportation. Jerry has signed up as a volunteer for the Wayne County Nursing Home & rehab center, his philosophy is "good people doing good things"
