Roosevelt Children Center Group with Teachers Ms. James & Ms. Renzi

Valentines Day turned out to be a special event for all the Residents at the Wayne County Nursing Home. The fun started with a visit on Friday 2/11/11 from the Roosevelt Children Center with their teachers Ms James & Ms Renzi. They delivered hand made hearts that were designed with their artistic flair. Saturday 2/12/11 Family members Bev Acchione and Diana Lagenor with her granddaughter and a friend spent time with a group of residents doing a heart craft project along with a pizza party. Sunday 2/13/11 Gail Luke and the Clyde Methodist Church Youth Group came to visit with valentines that delighted the residents. Monday 2/14/11 residents were greeted with red heart shape balloons with a special message on them from families, friends and community organizations. It’s a annual fund raising project from the Wayne County Nursing Home Foundation .The afternoon continued with fun time activities each floor had a valentine party with valentine bingo games & prizes. After school hours the Clyde Rotary Interact club came to visit with valentines, they also delivered a couple of balloons. At dinner the residents were surprised with white & red carnation corsages from the Dept.of Social Service they had collected money and delivered the beautiful corsages and personally spent time visiting and wishing the residents a Happy Valentine’s Day. Denise Sampson along with several staff from DSS organized this valentine project for the residents to make their special day complete.
