Titanic Mystery Dinner Theater

Thursday March 31, 2011 the staff cafeteria was transposed into a setting for the Titanic Mystery. There was the Titanic Ship display with an ice berg and luggage. Eight residents were given parts to play they wore authentic outfits that matched their characters. The setting was the captain’s table which had fine china and real silverware. During a seven course meal the residents interacted with a script to solve the murder mystery aboard the Titanic the evening before the Titanic sank.

The seven course meal consisted of a Toast of sparkling grape juice, shrimp cocktail, mini quiche, Broccoli & cheese soup, sherbet to cleanse the pallet, Asparagus with Hollandaise sauce, entre – Roast Sirloin Beef, glazed carrots and turned potatoes and dessert was a cream puff. Audience who came to watch was asked to help solve the murder mystery at the conclusion and they enjoyed a dessert with the cast. Residents played their parts perfectly Captain John was played by Steve Reeves, Mrs. Irene Harrison was played by Norma Crane (who was celebrating her birthday the same day) and her husband John Crane played Mr. Harrison, Miss Margaret Petree was played by Donna Sergisson, Miss Tessie Anderson was played by Madelyn Nieskes,Mr. Aiden Brogan was played by Ted Mundy, Mr. Bruce Dismal was played by Rosella Wright and Christine Freeman played Molly Brown. It was a lot of fun and enjoyed by many who participated in the event.
