Spring has Sprung at the Wayne County Nursing Home

Several residents attended a play outing to the Palmyra Macedon High School on March 25th they saw the production the “Music Man”. A great time was had by all who saw the talented actors & actress’s under the direction of the musical director & choreographer Mrs. Jill Long.

The residents made Easter baskets for a family in need this Easter along with making baskets for the Staff Children Easter Egg Hunt.

Friday March 26th the Food & Nutrition Department sponsored a Spring Fling for the 190 residents who live at the Wayne County Nursing Home & Rehab Center. Residents were treated to several fun activities such as guess the number of jelly beans, to picking up ducks to find the lucky winner, they had a memory game to play with beautiful spring pictures, they also had an opportunity to plant seeds, color Easter Eggs, decorate placemats for Easter Sunday, the Easter Bunny was available for pictures, the decorations were very festive along with the beautiful desserts that were offered.

Saturday March 27th an Easter egg hunt was offered to the Staff Children 556 eggs were hidden on all 4 households the residents enjoyed watching the children hunt for the eggs. Everyone had a wonderful time at this program treated to candy, bunny shape cookies and photos with the Easter Bunny.

Residents are looking forward to the annual 4H bunny visits on Saturday April 3rd. And the Pal Mac Middle School Jazz 14th annual concert on Wednesday April 14th. May 6th will be the spring craft sale at the Nursing Home from 10 Am – 3 Pm.
