We are having the NINETEENTH Annual Finger Lakes Golden Olympics at The Wayne County Fairgrounds in Palmyra, New York. This event starts at 11AM to 3PM it’s a day long event where area Nursing homes such as: Wayne County Nursing Home, , Clifton Springs Hospital, DeMay Living Center, Clark Meadow of Thompson Health, VA of Canandaigua and Sodus Blossom View compete in ball winding, Horseshoes, Bean bag Toss, Nail pounding, Spelling Bee. Bottle cap Toss, Bowling, Sponge throw and shoe kick. All participants go home as winners with ribbons from competition. This Year approximately 148 elderly participants will be at the Finger Lakes Golden Olympics. Each Participant & their volunteer are provided with a picnic style lunch. The Canal Town Chorale will perform for the opening ceremony followed by entertainment from the Towpath fife & drum corp., Savannah Cellar Savers and Bob & Beth Whitbeck.
