About the Foundation
In October, 2003 a project to establish a Foundation for the Nursing Home finally started taking shape with the assistance of the Director of the Monroe Community Hospital Foundation. In July, 2004 the NYS Public Health Council approved the Certificate of Incorporation, Bylaws, etc. The Certificate of Incorporation was filed in September and on November 17, 2004 an application for 501(c )3. status was filed. The IRS approved the application and contributions to the Foundation, which are tax deductible.
Our mission at the Foundation is to works closely with the Nursing Home to develop proposals for funding. The mutual goal is to enhance the lives of the residents.
