Andrew D. Richardson Comptroller

Andrew D. Richardson comes to the Wayne County Nursing Home with over 10 years of experience in the private sector, most recently as the Controller of a high-end office furniture manufacturer in Geneva. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and the Institute of Certified Fraud Examiners. He is a 1994 graduate of Lyons Jr./Sr. High School and is currently pursuing a BS/MBA from Empire State College. Andrew resides in Lyons with his wife Jaime and daughters Morgan and Taylor and is very active in the community. He currently serves as the Vice President of the Lyons School Board and President of the Jr. Lyons Lions Youth Football and Cheerleading League.

Andrew is eager to apply his experience and education in the public sector and is excited to be a member of the Wayne County Nursing Home team.

Margaret T. Haroff

Wayne County Nursing Home Administrator

Margaret T. Haroff, L.N.H.A., Administrator, actively endorses the Pioneer Movement on aging with other professionals in the Western New York region, and was instrumental in bringing the Household Model in design and philosophy to the new Wayne County Nursing Home and Rehab Center. In 2007, she was awarded the Rochester Business Journal’s 2007 Health Care Achievement Award in the non-physician category for her work and vision.
Ms.Haroff has been a licensed Nursing Home Administrator since 1974. A native of Long Island, she has over 30 years experience in hospital, hospital-based nursing home, voluntary and governmental nursing homes. She joined the Wayne County Nursing Home as Administrator in 1990 and resides in Macedon with her grandson, Andrew.
“Growing up in a three-generation home gave me the appreciation of our elders at an early age,” says Marge. Ms. Haroff has an AAS degree in Business Administration and a BS in Public Administration with emphasis in Health Care Administration from Russell Sage College. She completed her Community Health Administration training at CW Post Center at Long Island University. Ms. Haroff is a member of the New York Association of Long Term Care Administrators and has served as a Board Member and its Treasurer. In her “spare” time she enjoys camping with her grandson and the Boy Scouts, bringing him to the nursing home to give mini piano recitals to the residents, and she volunteers at the local food pantry.


Cheryl Morrow, M.D.

Medical Director

Dr. Cheryl Morrow has over 30 years of experience in health care administration, including positions with the New York State Department of Health, as a hospital Vice President and most recently, in Nursing Home Medical Direction. Dr. Morrow is Director of Operations for Elder Medical Services, Central NY Division. Elder Medical Services, established in 1991, is a physician group practice specializing in Geriatric and Rehabilitation Medicine.

Dr. Morrow is Board certified in Internal Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Care, and has a Masters Degree in Business Administration. As Medical Director of Wayne County Nursing Home, Dr. Morrow coordinates the medical care of all the residents, and monitors the care provided by all the nursing home providers. Dr. Morrow’s clinical and administrative credentials and experience ensures that all medical care at Wayne County Nursing Home exceeds the standards of federal, state and local oversight agencies, as well as the professional standards for Geriatrics and Rehabilitation.

Dr. Morrow, along with Assistant Medical Director Karen Nickell, M.D., was appointed Medical Director for the Wayne County Nursing Home in March of 2006. In her “spare time” Dr. Morrow is taking Christian Seminary courses with her husband and will soon be credentialed as a Nursing Home Chaplain. “The ultimate measure of any society”, says Dr. Morrow, “is how that society cares for its parents in their twilight years”.

 
 

Catherine Chabrier, MPH, LNHA
Integrity Officer

Mrs. Chabrier has over 20 years experience in the management of congregate care settings licensed by NYSDOH including group homes, adolescent residential treatment, assisted living, and nursing homes. She has implemented and managed Quality Improvement systems, led staff development and directed residential services in these settings. Mrs. Chabrier holds a BA from the University of Rochester and a Masters of Public Health from Columbia University. She is a New York state licensed nursing home administrator.

Mrs. Chabrier grew up in Wayne County. She completed her Administrator in Training internship at Wayne County Nursing Home in 1999. She returns to Wayne County from Howd Nursing Home in Moravia where she was the Administrator. “I am pleased to be in a place I think of as home and use my skills in team leadership, program development, and quality improvement,” says Cathie. She currently lives in Geneva with her husband, Norberto, and two sons, Louis and Tony.

As the Integrity Officer, Mrs. Chabrier oversees our efforts to ensure compliance with regulations and other legal requirements and to improve the quality of care to our residents. She was also successful in getting grant funding this year from the Long Term Care Quality Improvement Initiative for the Nursing Home. This is a broad scope that reaches all departments in the nursing home, all levels of staff and our residents and their families.
 

Elizabeth M. Kanauer, RN, MSN
Director of Nursing

Elizabeth Kanauer comes to the Wayne County Nursing Home and Rehab Center with 22 years of experience as a registered nurse. Those years were spent in a variety of settings: in hospitals, home care and most recently, at the Episcopal Church Nursing Home in Rochester, NY. She especially enjoys working with people who have memory impairment and dementia. Liz completed her Masters degree in Nursing at St. John Fisher College in 2001. The focus for this degree was Management of High Risk Populations.  She attended SUNY Morrisville for her Associates degree, and SUNY Utica for her Bachelors degree in Nursing.

As the Director of Nursing at WCNH, Liz coordinates the nursing care team provided to your residents. Her goal is to ensure every resident receives excellent, individualized care that meets their physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Liz lives in Macedon with her husband Bill, daughter Alicia, son Nicholas, and an assortment of pets and farm animals.
